I’m a runner/triathlete and new mom. An athlete since my youth (swimming and waterpolo originally) who picked up running when I moved to Boston 14 years ago, I quickly got hooked on going long and racing. My first race was a half marathon that I trained for when I was unemployed during the ‘08/09 recession and had needed something to look forward to. In the 10+ years since I’ve done a baker’s dozen marathons, two ironmans and lots of other races. Slowing down in the last few years to savor the trails and open water swims that combine nature therapy and my sports has helped me stay focused and happy as work and life have grown more stressful. I am an exec of a small consulting business by day and as of this summer a mom to a chubby-cheeked baby boy. I co-host a podcast about balancing a love for endurance sports with the rest of life, along with my coach. She provides coaching advice, I provide my insight as an athlete.
