I grew up in the upstate NY Adirondack mountains choosing to participate in any and every outdoor activity imaginable. I played soccer and ran track, never a super star but always a hard worker and team player. Science called to me and I moved to Boston for 6 years after high school and got my Doctorate in Pharmacy. Moved down to the DC area, caught "Potomac Fever" and have been here for 13 years working on health policy. During my time here, I became a marathoner, 8 times over! I also joined the Oiselle team and found my family here in the DMV. The nation's capitol has become my running playground through injury, husband's deployment to Afghanistan, GI disease, and everything in-between. I have a lot of GI issues... so healthy cooking and finding foods that I enjoy that I can eat is a big part of my life. When I'm not running or cooking and its not the middle of a pandemic, I'm using my passport. My last adventure trip in 2019 was the 3 night 4 day Inca Trail in Peru. Our guides and fellow trekkers loved the Picky Bars I brought with me....
