I am a 51 year old, mother of 4 kids and 3 dogs, happy wife. I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga teacher who just had to close my yoga studio due to COVID. I love to work out , am an avid cyclist, runner, skier and hiker. I used to be a competitive marathon runner and triathlete and even ran the Boston marathon in 2006 in 2:58:45. I suffered from a 25+ year battle with an eating disorder and had to quit competitive racing in order to focus on healing from this ongoing battle. I have been in recovery since 2014 and am very involved with a local non profit COPE (Community Outreach for the prevention of Eating Disorders), which I have been on the board/secretary for the last 7 years. We educate our community on Eating Disorders and go into the local middle schools to speak to 6th grade girls about the dangers of diets, social media ,and promote positive body image through a presentation called "Being a Girl in Today's World". I was a speaker at the National Eating Disorder Association annual conference in 2014 in san Antonio, and on Huffington Post to share my story of living with my Eating Disorder. I found Picky Bars last year though a friend and I now use them every day during my training or even just for a quick snack. I love that Picky Bars support NEDA and that your products are not only healthy but taste good! I would LOVE to be one of your badassadors to promote your products!
