Well, Twitter will tell you that I am a toddler wrangler and a sandcastle architect while Instagram will argue that I am a taco junkie and popcorn maker for my wife. All of that is true. I am also addicted to running and setting crazy goals. In 2018, just after the birth of my first daughter (October 2017), I set a goal to run the year in miles (2018 in 2018) AND streak the entire year (run 365 days in a row). Because learning how to be a new parent wasn't hard enough (; Long story short, I accomplished both goals (even through a terrible bout of hand, foot, and mouth disease). I laid low in 2019, mentally (and physically) recovering from 2018. And toward the end of 2019, I got a little antsy. My friend talked me into signing up for the Pittsburgh marathon, which would have been my first marathon. And of course I couldn't just run my first marathon; I began training for a BQ time. My workouts and long runs were on point and I was feeling fantastic and very optimistic for reaching my goal. Well, we all know how that story played out. 2020 was canceled. But no worries; we figured out how to have a crazy 2020 even in quarantine. We got a puppy in June and we had our second baby in September! All is swell!
