I am an Emergency Medicine and Primary Care physician with a background in nutrition. I split my clinical time between the 2 disciplines; I practice primary care with SteadyMD through which I have the opportunity to work with both professional and recreational athletes. Over the past year, I have discovered my niche is the female endurance athlete and have given several presentations on how the menstrual cycle can be used as a tool for training and competing. I also am a contributor for triathlete.com.
My primary sport is triathlon (70.3/140.6) which keeps me sane. I've competed at Kona 3x, last one in 2018 with a broken wrist -- I've already qualified for the next Kona (2021?) as redemption. Is racing with 2 working arms and legs too much to ask? I just got a gravel bike and hope to do some monster gravel races in the upcoming months.
