I am an avid runner. Wife. Mother of 2 under 2. Fitness Coach.
I believe real food fuels our bodies to do what we ask of it- including saying yes to friends who ask if you want to run a race at any given time. I mainly run marathons and strive to be in ‘half marathon’ shape at all time. I love encouraging others and working as a fitness coach at a local boutique gym allows me the opportunity to help others achieve their fitness and nutrition goals.
It is important to my husband and I to display an active lifestyle to our daughters and involve them in our running and racing as much as possible. It’s not unusual for them to spend a few hours in the jogging stroller with us during a long run on the weekends.
It is also important to us to teach our girls and display to them a healthy approach to eating- food is fuel and it’s good to eat a variety of food groups and get the calories you need to thrive throughout the day. I always have Picky Bars in the diaper bag for a quick and wholesome snack for the entire family on the go!
